I have never used MySQL, I had PostgresSQL forced upon me for my databases course (it also came with the OpenSolaris disc I have as wel….), but this could see some interesting new technologies emerge. I’ll be following this :)

Wow,I was shocked…
I thought the guy with pony tails hair is just normal sun employee…I never though he is the sun CEO/president until I read the description…

Yeah, best part was the dog that comes in… I’ve met these guys and although they are super-brilliant, they are also real people with kids who like Pokemon

Yay! Go Sun!

I hope the day when the global market and investors understand the Sun strategy! We’re not only with focus on the business or on our mission but also with focus on what world future needs…who is against us is against to the human development…Yes could sound dramatic or a kind of utopia …but yes it’s why it makes us proud to work on a company that has focus on what the future needs. And I will be proud to say that to my kids on the future. :-)

I think they want to show they’re still normal human beings. That’s why they’re sitting at a ’stupid little table’ on crappy chairs, outside in a friendly chat. Put this conversation in a rich hotel lobby with ties and costumes and you get a totally different situation.

I was lucky enough to intern at Sun over the summer, working with Corp Comms, and got to meet most of these guys. VERY cool guys here, very passionate about their work. More power to Sun…

Very excited about this. Very cool. Congratulations Sun and MySQL!

I would expect for this video to have been a much more professional production. Better film location, and way better audio. If Sun can drop $1b on MySQL, I’m sure they can spend $10k for a better production budget.
